PayPal and Point-of-Sale at HomeDepot http://ow.ly/8oVtr

#PayPal #mobile #point -of-sale #homeDepot #AJB #retail #gameChanger #ebay

I have been a fan of PayPal for years, and a member since before they were owned by eBay. They have only gotten better over the past 5 years. I used my PayPal account for a large majority of my purchasing this past holiday season… ALL of which was done online. I have to say it was the best holiday "shopping" experience I have ever had. One thing I would enjoy is to have PayPal option at my local retail store. Would this entice me back into a retail store during holiday season? Probably not, but on a normal / non-holiday weekly basis? Absolutely. Excellent job PayPal and AJB. Looking forward to this changing the way we shop and conduct commerce. Flash vs. HTML5

It seems like everywhere I go the topic of #Flash vs. #HTML5 comes up. I still feel the same about the topic: These are tools to communicate a #message. If you want to reach your #audience on their #mobile devices, flash might not be a good conduit. If you want to reach an audience that has a 98% likelihood of having the #plugin installed on their #computer… flash is your answer. I still shop on a #desktop for the majority of my purchases. My wife and I bought ALL of our #Christmas gifts this year on a #laptop. This could change, but I still find shopping on a phone limited. This hopefully will change.

I enjoy Jack's opinion from greensock.com, succinct, informative, technical, but very valid points. I posted his write up below.

Flash developers out there should learn html5 and more #javascript if they plan on communicating with mobile/#tablet audiences. Find your target audience and #create something great!

I am afraid to ask for thoughts on this topic… go ahead :)
